The Fields farm is very conveniently situated in the Western Cape between Paarl, Malmesbury and Durbanville. The farm, which is about 130ha in size, has undergone limited development in the past and largely presents as a blank canvas for expansion into any number of agricultural activities. Improvements include three large earthen dams, which are filled by a winter watercourse crossing over the property, a large shed incorporating an accommodation unit on the one side of it, three staff cottages, and some animal shelters and handling facilities. Irrigation water on the farm is drawn from the farm dams as well as an equipped borehole, which also supplies the potable water requirements. The farm currently has a few fields under irrigation which are used for cash cropping as well as some newly established guava orchards.
