Elna Schulze has been a successful real estate agent in Stellenbosch since 1997. Through attention to service excellence and an intelligent approach, she has developed a formidable reputation in her field.
Over the past 20 years, she has worked as a Property Sales Consultant, Business Principal and owned her own Real Estate company in Stellenbosch. She joined Harcourts in 2014 and assisted the Business Owners with recruiting agents and setting up offices in Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. She now is the Sales and Operations Manager for Harcourts Winelands, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales and operational side of the business.
Elna has worked in the Human Resources environment for over a decade, before taking on a new challenge and moving into Real Estate. She has Diploma in Personnel Management.
She is graded as a Master Practitioner in Real Estate. She did her Estate Agents’ Board exam in 1997 and CRS in 1998, and completed her NQF4 and NQF5 qualifications, the prerequisite to operate as an estate agent and a principal in real estate in South Africa. She keeps up with new legislation, attending courses and seminars on the legal and financial aspects of purchasing property.
With her years of Real Estate experience coupled with her Human Resources background and interest, it was a natural move to become a coach and mentor estate agents to help them grow and transform their businesses.
Elna did coaching studies through University of Cape Town in 2014, a Leadership Development course at University of Stellenbosch in 2015, and is currently studying essentials of Management Coaching through the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
As the In-House Coach, Elna trains and coaches new agents and is currently running a Rookie programme within Harcourts Winelands. She also runs an official coaching programme to help agents enhance their business skills and transform their business. She sees each agent as the owner of their own business and creates a platform to help them to take ownership of their business. Her experience has shown that agents tend to focus on operational aspects in their business, and she assists them to be more strategic within their business, to develop long term goals and an annual business plan.
The second aspect of her coaching is on personal development. She focuses on leadership and accountability to assist agents to realise their full potential.
Elna enjoys empowering people and helping them to grow, and want to leave something behind that represents a more advanced level of real estate where each team member in the company accepts responsibility for their contribution to the success of the team.
